Racing and Events


​The Summer is a busy time with club members entering a range of triathlon events and distances alongside the Leicester Road Running League and local cycling time trials. The National Triathlon Relays is a great event for team spirit, billed as 'organised chaos' we always have lots of fun (while racing hard).

In winter, our racing centres around the Derby Runner Cross Country League.

The Leicester Triathlon Club 2025 Series


This year the club are running a fun points series to boost participation. The aim of the series is to encourage more members to attend certain races and allow for some healthy competition within the club. Find out more here: Club Points Series.

The LRRL 2025 Race Calendar has now been confirmed. Dates below:
  • R1 - Kibworth 6 - Sunday 16th March
  • R2 - Desford 6 - Sunday 6th April
  • R3 - Stilton 7 - Sunday 13th April
  • R4 - Bosworth Half Marathon - Sunday 11th May
  • R5 - Watermead 10k - Wednesday 21st May
  • R6 - West End 8 - Sunday 1st June
  • R7 - Swithland 6 - Sunday 8th June
  • R8 - Steve Morris 5 - Sunday 29th June
  • R9 - Joy Cann 5 - Wednesday 6th August
  • R10 - Markfield 10k - Sunday 28th September
  • R11 - Rotherby 8 - Sunday 12th October

Cycling Time Trial Events

Leicester Triathlon Club are affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT). Members often take part in Cycling Time Trial events, these are a great opportunity to go all out on the bike. Find out about CTT events on the Cycling Time Trials website.

A number of local cycling clubs run Club Time Trials which welcome 'guest' riders from other clubs and sometimes involve cake at the end!
  • Ratae Road Club - early season 10 mile TTs Saturdays  8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th March
  • Ratae Road Club - Six Saturdays in May, June & July, dates tbc.
  • Hinckley Cycle Racing Club - Tuesday evening 10 mile TTs commencing May 6th
  • Welland Valley Cycling Club - A range of distances, 10 mile TTs on most Tuesday evenings April - August and other events including 25 mile TTs through dotted through the season
  • The Round Robin - a series of nine 10 mile TTs arranged by a group of six local cycling clubs running July - August

Parkrun meet ups


Parkrun meet ups happen on the first Saturday of every month. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for more details.

The friendly members of Leicester Triathlon Club often our Facebook to post details of group rides or runs, this is a private group but don't be put off, it is open to non-club members you just need to ask to join!
